About Us

The Key West Community Band was formed in 2024 to bring a concert band to the area for local adults to get involved in playing again, performing for the community and charitable events, and to create a family like culture for those who choose to participate. We want to bring joy through notes to our area! We will play classical, jazz, pop, modern, patriotic, and other genres of music sure to tug on the heart strings of all our listeners. The group was founded by Mrs. Rosie who also founded the Key West Drum & Dance group for teens to have a positive activity to be involved in through rhythm and movement to create something powerful and exciting.

Practices are held on Tuesday evenings at the Moose Lodge in Key West, with the Drum & Dance group rehearsing from 6-7pm and the Key West Community Band rehearsing from 7-8pm. Participation is open to all adults for the Key West Community Band regardless of level.... so retirees, veterans, and ANY adult who just wants a great group to be apart of and play again.... dust off those old instruments and join us! Participation in the Key West Drum & Dance group is open to any teen who wants something positive to be apart of, regardless of skill. They do not have to be an experienced drummer or dancer to participate, but parental permission is required. Please come join the group!
